In general, the best time to water your kokedamas is early in the morning or late in the evening. Avoid watering during the hottest part of the day, as the water will evaporate quickly and your plants will not have enough time to absorb it. Also, watering them in the middle of the day can damage their leaves, since the water droplets act as lenses that concentrate the sunlight and can even burn them.

Watering your kokedamas early in the morning or late at night also has other benefits. For example, during these hours, the air temperature is lower and the relative humidity is higher, which allows water to be better absorbed by plant roots. Also, during the night, the leaves of the plants will not be exposed to the sun and will have more time to absorb the water better before the temperature rises again.
