Fittonia, also known as "nerve plant", is a perennial plant species native to South America, specifically the tropical regions of Peru and Colombia. The foliage of Fittonia is what really catches the eye - it's like a small natural work of art! The leaves are dark green with veins in shades of pink, red or white.
The plant prefers rich, well-drained soil and requires constant moisture. If the soil dries out completely, the leaves can begin to wilt and lose their color. That's why we place them in our gardens in a bowl, as this keeps them always moist and in perfect condition.
